Life & Kin is a Canadian financial education platform created to bring clarity, transparency, and understanding to the world of personal finance and risk management.
We believe most people are asked to make important financial decisions without ever being shown how the systems behind those decisions truly work. Our goal is to change that by providing clear, unbiased education that helps individuals and families understand protection, wealth, and long-term planning before they ever sit down with an advisor.
This platform is not a sales website. It does not promote any specific company, carrier, or product. Everything you will find here is designed to help you learn how financial concepts function in real life so you can recognize risks, ask better questions, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Who We Are
Life & Kin is run by two licensed life insurance professionals in Ontario with experience in financial protection and risk management education.
We created this platform after seeing how often people feel overwhelmed, confused, or pressured when discussing financial products. Too many decisions are made based on incomplete information or unrealistic expectations. We wanted to build a space where education comes first and clarity is always the priority.
Our work is grounded in Canadian regulatory standards and professional training frameworks, including the Life Licence Qualification Program curriculum and ethics guidelines. Every article is reviewed to ensure it remains factual, balanced, and suitable for general education.
